ActivaPin™ and ActivaNail™

 

Bioretec’s ActivaPin™ is ideal for the fixation of fractures and osteotomies, especially in the foot and ankle.
When operating flake fractures, for example, in chondral areas of the knee, ActivaNail™ offers needed additional support with its small head. Chondrotissue

Chondrotissue is a free cell implant introduced by Arthroscopy for the treatment of cartilage defects by the one-step procedure.

VELOX® – Ready-To-Use Bone Cement Paste

VELOX® is designed to fill non-infected bone defects after a trauma, a reconstruction, or a corrective intervention. It is the world’s first injectable calcium phosphate-based bone cement paste that is provided as a ready-to-use implant material. The need for an elaborate and time-consuming intraoperative preparation, mixing, and transfer of a bone substitute cement is superseded by a novel, patent-protected technology. VELOX® is supplied ready to use and can be applied directly from the syringe, or alternatively by using the cannula, into the bone. As VELOX® sets only after coming in contact with aqueous liquid and not in the syringe, the surgeon is under no time restriction during application. PEDIATRIC ABDUCTION SPLINTS

Characteristics: Orthosis helping children to keep hip in its positi on. Comfortable and lightweight.

Indications: Sub-luxati on and congenital hip dislocati on. Hip dysplasia.

PEDIATRIC HIP ORTHOSIS

Characteristics: Lightweight orthosis designed to control hip sub-luxation in children with cerebral palsy. It may also be useful in situations when a scissoring gait affects the functional ambulation and in which hip dysplasia leads to muscle imbalances.
S.W.A.S.H. orthosis assures a variable abduction during flexion providing sufficient help all day, when sitting, standing, walking or crawling.
Using a simple geometry we get a hip abduction, which is wide when the child sits but narrow when he is standing. It is composed of the following elements: a rear waist bar which joined with a cushion of frontal closure holding two joint sets. These sets have holes into which are lodged by rings bars slightly bent for the legs. Legs are kept in position by thigh cuffs. The joint set is joined by steel screws secured by Allen key- The leg bars are fixed by a small screw.
Effects: Maintain hip in abduction to maintain reduced the hip.
Indications: Cerebral palsy, with scissoring gait or instability when sitting by excess abduction, hip sub-luxation.

POST-SURGERY HIP ABDUCTION ORTHOSIS

Characteristics: Hip orthosis that can be fitted to both women and men. The joint has an adjustable range of flexion and extension from 0° to 90° of flexion (every 15ª), can be blocked on the angles required. The joint also has an adjustable abduction (0 – 15 – 30° or free).

Embreis History

Embreis is a small company with a big heart and lofty ambitions of quality and service. The company was founded in 2008 by Thomas Hammarlund and Ulf Oden sheet.
Both Ulf and Thomas have a long and solid background in the orthopedic industry When The Two Began working as a salesman at Medicare Band in the late 80s. Ulf advanced rapidly on to the product and so Continued Until his mid-90s moved to the West Coast and drove healthcare shop Sports Orthopaedics in Gothenburg. Thoma’s main focus areas as the seller of Medicare Band were Primarily arbetsterapi- and physiotherapy departments across the country.
In 1996, Thomas and Ulf were Involved in starting up the GBM Medical AB, an established company in the orthopedic industry as together They built up successfully for a rewarding 10 year period. A period filled with product and good partnerships.
GBM Medical AB was sold in 2005 to Össur Nordic and bothering Ulf and Thomas Continued his career within the company. Ulf Obvious its role as a Product Specialist/seller and Thomas as Chief Operating Officer with the mission to be in the lead for the sales and marketing group.
In 2008, the two once again the joint stride and started up Embreis. A company founded with the aim to provide the absolute best service and the highest expertise in the orthopedic industry.
